Lesson Book 2 starts as pre-reading, then moves to reading on the
staff. After a review, the new concepts taught are: Dotted quarter
note and 4/4 time, 4/4 time, Mezzo-forte, Staff and note reading,
Steps and skips, Grand staff. New notes taught are F and G in the
LH and RH, completing the Middle C position.
Lesson Book 1 is pre-reading. Concepts taught are: How to sit at
the piano; Correct hand position; High and low; Loud and soft
(forte and piano); Keyboard topography; Bar line and measure,
Quarter, half, whole notes and rests; and Repeat signs. The first
pieces in the book are played on the black keys. Later in the book,

The Music for Little Mozarts Recital Book 3 includes motivational
music to reinforce performance concepts that are introduced in the
Music Lesson Books. The book includes an all new story about Mozart
Mouse and Nina Ballerina, as well as familiar music for
performance.
The adventures of Beethoven Bear and Mozart Mouse continue in this
new series of solo/activity books written to correlate with the
Music for Little Mozarts series. In Christmas Fun!, Book 2, Clara
Schumann-Cat is having a Christmas party. Students will enjoy the
Christmas story with its related pictures, piano solo (with
optional teacher duets) and activity pages. Many will also want to
color the illustrations found throughout the story. Use this book
during the Christmas season after the student has studied page 38
in the Music Lesson Book 2.
Meet the Music Friends provides an introduction to music and the
piano for four- and five-year olds. It consists of a series of five
lessons that include singing, listening, movement, rhythm
activities and beginning activities at the keyboard. Mozart Mouse,
Beethoven Bear, and Clara Schumann-Cat guide the students through
the lessons. The program is designed to be taught in a music
classroom with one keyboard instrument. The Curriculum Book
contains five complete lesson plans for a classroom lesson of 45-60
minutes. After completing the five lessons, students should begin
Level 1 of the Music for Little Mozarts piano course.

This book is designed for parents as well as for families who are a
part of the homeschool movement and wish to include piano in the
curriculum. The step-by-step method provides materials that allow
students to play pieces on the piano immediately. With an
accompanying CD that demonstrates how the music sounds, each lesson
is explained in plain language that is easy to understand. The
enclosed CD contains a recording of every piece in the book.
Preceding each student page is an Instructional Guide for the
parent. The Instructional Guide suggests steps for introducing the
page to the student, follow-up practice suggestions for the student
to do without the parent, and suggestions for reviewing the page in
subsequent lessons.
Lesson Book 4 is the last in the Music for Little Mozarts series.
After a review, the new concepts taught are: Flat and sharp sign;
Tie; Crescendo and diminuendo. After reviewing C position and
Middle C position, G position is taught. All three positions are
used alternately throughout the rest of the book, with flat and
sharp notes incorporated. When the student is finished with Lesson
Book 4, he/she moves either into Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Prep
Course, Level C or Alfred's Premier Piano Course, Level 1B.
In this story, Nannerl Mouse helps the Music Friends stage their
own Christmas Pageant when snow prevents them from going to church.
Carols include "Away in a Manger" and "Good King Wenceslas." Music
activity pages reinforce note reading and note identification.
